A haptic belt for deaf and hard-of-hearing people that detects sound direction and alerts the wearer through vibration. Built with electronic textiles and iteratively tested across form factors and signalling strategies.

Designed and prototyped the belt with microcontrollers, electronic textiles, and conductive thread.

Usability tested across form factors and haptic strategies.

Improved accuracy from 57% to 100% and reduced reaction time from 4.6 seconds to 0.15 seconds.

An interactive lamp that detects different stands and responds with colour and motion, exploring how light can make hidden interactions tangible.

Lamp Shade Iterations · 2025

Built end-to-end: ESP32 firmware, Hall-effect and RFID sensing, digital LED control.

Fabricated each stand using CNC milling, laser cutting, and 3D printing.

Designed enclosure and diffuser shade in Fusion 360, iterating on form to invite handling.
